Asset overview

Understand the setup.
Then make it your own.

Contact Deform Pro is a Blender Geometry Nodes asset in OmniKit’s utilities collection.

DROP ON MESH, then choose a separate closed MESH in Collider. Move/animate the collider in Object Mode. Boolean contact mask + normal ray projection + bulge. Default convex proxy is stable but approximates concave shapes. Subdivision controls detail/cost. Missing collider and zero Strength return original mesh. Reversible artistic deformation, not cloth/soft-body simulation; no volume conservation. Never choose host as collider. See Contact Deform GUIDE.

Its exposed inputs include Bypass, Convex Proxy, Strength, Clearance, Ray Length, Bulge, Bulge Width. Review the control reference below to plan a suitable setup.

Collection: Surface Tools/Contact Deform

Structural inspection used Blender 5.2.0 LTS. Other releases and render engines require separate checks.

How to approach this asset

  1. Check the source notes for the expected mesh, curve, field, shader or World context.
  2. Start with a disposable scene and a suitable input. Inspect required object, material or collection inputs.
  3. Adjust one documented control at a time. Evaluate the result before using it in a production project.
